Orchid Nan 난 represents grace, humility, and quiet confidence. Chrysanthemum Guk 국 stands for integrity and steadfastness, flourishing as the year turns cold. Bamboo Juk 죽 bends without breaking, embodying honesty, resilience, and unshakable moral strength. Together, they reflect qualities of cultivated life—dignity, perseverance, harmony, and inner elegance. ⚱️ Alternating between Sagunja panels are soft landscape paintings Sansuhwa 산수화, rendered in ink with subtle green accents. In Korean tradition, landscapes represent philosophical union between humans and nature, inviting calm reflection and return to balance. Mountains, streams, and distant homes evoke a quiet world where time slows and thoughts settle, creating gentle equilibrium of depth and stillness. ⚱️ The interplay of Sagunja and Sansuhwa creates visually layered artwork—at once poetic and grounded—making this folding screen beautiful for study rooms, tea tables, reading corners, or spaces with Asian-inspired aesthetics. ⚱️ The back features Hunminjeongeum 훈민정음, the original 15th-century script that introduced the Korean alphabet.
